Photography

Over the last few years, in order to grow as an artist and diversify my skillset, I've taken up photography as a small hobby. While my work is definitely amateur, I think that I've grown significantly since I started, and these are just a few of the ones that I feel the most proud of!

The Eyes of a Dog

A close-up photograph of the face of a dog. The dog has brown fur, which changes to black around his eyes and the base of his muzzle. His nose is right up against the camera lens, surrounded by small amounts of white fur. His large, brown eyes stare straight into the camera.

This is a photo that I took of my neighbor's pet dog, Ranger. It's one of my favorite photos I've ever taken, in no small part because Ranger usually refuses to sit still and I got incredibly lucky that he actually did for once.

Reflections in the Water

A landscape photo of a lake in the mountains at sunset. The sky is mostly a light blue and is filled with scattered groups of clouds, all colored with a pink hue from the sunset. The horizon is a bright orange, with the sun just barely out of sight. A thick line of trees overlooks the lake, with the water creating a wavy reflection of the treeline and sky above. Houses can be seen on the shore beneath these trees.

This is a photo that I took when I was on vacation in the Pocono mountains a few years ago. I'm particularly proud of how I was able to use the reflections of the trees over the water in the shot, and it's one that I'm quite fond of. I love taking photos of nature in general, and sunsets in particular as you can see in the next photo as well.

Sunset over the Ballfield

A landscape photo of the sky above a little league baseball field at sunset. The field, dugout, and other buildings are empty, and are surrounded by a thick wall of tall trees with green leaves. The sky is a dim shade of blue, and is covered in faint stratus clouds. The clouds are colored a light pink by the sunset. The moon can very faintly be seen in the center of the sky, shining through the clouds.

This is a photo taken at a small baseball field near my home. I frequently take walks there because of how quiet it is, and I've always thought that sunsets there in the spring were particularly gorgeous, which is why I took this photo in the spur of the moment last year during one such walk.
